By definition, a meteorite is a rocky body of extraterrestrial origin which survived the crossing of the atmosphere and reached the floor of the Earth...

Well OK, I annoy you with my speech ! Perhaps, for many of people, this is a simple piece of stone...
But... maybe your opinion could be changed with Fallen, the 3D animation realized by two Germans :
Wolfram Kampffmeyer and Sascha Geddert.

The story : a meteorite, attracted to the planet Earth, suddenly takes life setting ablaze in the atmosphere. Schorsch (yes, it has a small name) will be confronted to its tragic destiny ...



Through this remarkable short film, Wolfram Kampffmeyer and Sascha Geddert succeeded in doing an endearing and affecting meteorite. Troughout its fall we share the fear, the anxiety, but also the courage of Schorsch.
